How do I pay for my benefits?
Some benefits are completely funded by Publicis Sapient, while others are only funded up to single cover, or are voluntary. If only single cover is provided by Publicis Sapient, you’ll have to pay for any additional cover for your dependants. Any voluntary benefits you choose are paid for by you from your net pay (your take-home salary after tax).
Pension and Cycle to Work are paid through a Salary Sacrifice Agreement, which you have to sign when choosing these benefits. This means you agree to having your reference salary reduced by the amount that the benefit costs. Paying for your benefits this way means you may make tax and National Insurance savings.
When can I choose my benefits?
Annual window
When you can choose or change your benefits from the full range for the year ahead. This will be your only opportunity to select some benefits until the next annual window.
Monthly windows
When you can choose or change certain flexible benefits throughout the year. The monthly window is open from the 1st to the 20th of each month.
New joiners
If you’ve recently joined, your core benefits will already be in place. You’ll be able to adjust the level of most benefits when you first join by selecting a “new joiner” event in the first available monthly selection window.
Life events
You may need to change some of your benefits outside the annual benefit selection window following a change in your personal circumstances – these are known as life events. Life events include getting married or divorced, becoming a parent, a significant change of hours or salary or suffering from bereavement. You can only register a life event on Simply Benefits once it’s happened. If the change in circumstances didn't happen recently, it won't be accepted by the system.
